Everybody who visits OpenCarnage is welcome to join in. Just have a copy of Halo PC installed, have an an internet connection, and get ready for fun and excitement.


Every Wednesday

The Game Starts at around 8PM EST. If you have Vent, be in the vent server room "Halo PC Fun Night Server" sometime before 8PM EST, if not then send me or somebody else a PM to get more information.

The Game Ends when everybody stops playing. It goes on for as long as people are still in the server having fun.


OpenCarnage members get priority over non-members. The server is non-password protected so anybody can join, but if the server is full non-members will be kicked to make room. However, other then that, it's first come first serve. If the server is full of OC members, you'll have to wait until someone else quits.


Every other week is mod week, where we play modded maps from both Halo PC and Halo CE maps converted to PC. expect lots of fun through unique gameplay that isn't available from normal Halo.

I strongly encourage people to start modding; Feel free to PM me a request to add your map to the cycle. Or any map for that matter. We'll try to keep the mods as fresh as possible.

Me like :evil: One thing, people that have good enought computers, do ya think you could record? It would be fun to see how many hours of video from as many points of view as possible that we can get. If I play I know I'll be recording

I'll try to if it's possible, but once everyone gets in there I might have to turn it off. I really need a new computer.

meh, I have found that using two physical hard drives helps, one that Halo is installed on and one that the vids are recorded onto That, along with 4g of RAM, a 2.5Ghz dual core, and I can run FTW at 30+ on a all rockets 8v8 battle creek And of course, Crysis at nice settings (No AA and not native 1440x900 res, and mainly medium settings, but meh)

Well I don't have to be at work early wednesday morning so I might try to stop in if I'm not with my girlfriend.

my connection to the server wont work...ive uninstalled, reinstalled, auto updated, and manually updated and it says
"client is older than host"
or something...how do i fix?

You have to manually download patch 1.08 for PC, it won't auto update.

some one for the love of god help. it won tlet me connect for some reason. i used to be able, and it was fine. then i reinstalled halo and it wont work now.

first i auto update. that doesnt work.

then i manually update. that doesnt work

I'll be there after work... probably half an hour late.

Who's hosting the server though? And is it a dedicated one? I have enough free computer resources and bandwidth that I could probably host a dedicated and record footage too.

If other people record too, they can send me their footage and I can mix it up.

I guess I was inactive when we got and actually started using a dedicated server.

Right now Vent is only set up to hold 15 people. So either 2 things are going to happen..

1. The Vent will be expanded if this is ACTUALLY going to be used by more then 15 people.
2. 15 will come in and only those playing the game will be allowed to be in Vent. Consider it a perk of playing.

Either way hilarity will ensue like usual, someone will get mad, someone will be the TK bitch and someone will creep us right the fuck out with their pedo laugh.

And no, im not going to get drunk for your amusement..... Maybe.
