I would sure hope so! The only Forerunner weapon we have seen so far is the sentinel beam, and Halo. Both of which blow serious chunks!

The Halo array is the ultimate death machine.

Well focus rifle is good for like killing players with jetpacks, but beam rifles are good for defending your flag in ctf or in my case camping. So I don't really care about the two in my opinion.....

Also, the sniper rifle and the beam rifle were pretty much interchangeable in my opinion, whereas the focus rifle was different. Even if it was shit.

I expect magnetic boots and jetpacks and when you die for it to explode like a nuke like REAL spartans in the books. i also expect to see new weapons, forerunners, flood and that weapon you see the chief (god bless him) holding in the trailer. sorta like a pistol/rpg thing.

No, again spoiler at own risk

150,000 years before the events of the first Halo, there were two dominant alien life forms; The Precursors, and the Forerunners. They fought a war against each other. So just in case The Precursors lost the war against the Forerunners they developed the flood. Roughly 110,000 before the events of the first Halo, the Humans accidentally released the Flood. This led up to the Forerunners creation of the Halo Array and eventually the activation of it.

The Humans actually didn't accidentally release it, they sort of helped it evolve until they saw what it actually was, and after that they were able to push it back for a while but thats mostly the jist of it.
